Relapse is an unfortunate reality in the addiction recovery process. We believe the harsh transition from a halfway-house or recovery program back to regular life is a big factor. That's why we started Shadow Haven Farm, a post-recovery option for men to find affordable living, meaningful work, and a Christian environment, all the while preparing them for their next stage in life.
AFFORDABLE LIVING
Shadow Haven has a recently renovated apartment that can house up to four men. As God provides, and with your continued financial support, we aim to build more housing in the future.
MEANINGFUL WORK
Residents of Shadow Haven participate in farm chores as a means of keeping their rent affordable, engaging in physical exercise, and furthering our ministry. Their farm work includes jobs such as caring for animals, gardening, cutting wood, and the maintenance of both the land and farming equipment.
CHRISTIAN ENVIRONMENT
Shadow Haven provides a spiritual environment, free from temptations men may have dealt with in prior communities. Men are encouraged to become an active part of the church and to take time each day to meditate on God's Word, study, and pray. Recovery can be difficult, but with God, all things are possible.
